Hide Away Ironing Boards, Inc.
Tulsa,  Oklahoma

Hide Away Ironing Boards, Inc.  growth in sales took off during the residential boom of the 1990's .  With their product in only half of the continental United States,  the demand for their product would soon exceed their production capacity  limited by the 20,000 s.f.  facility they had just moved into a few years prior.  Marion Wall,  their Office Manager and Controller enlisted the assistance of MAPC to assess their current space needs by studying  departmental structure and product process flow.  The objective was to identify a building and site need that would adequately house their operations and provide for future growth.

MAPC staff worked with the office and production staff to develop a detailed space program based on their existing facilities, equipment,  personnel, projected growth including proposed changes to the product process flow and equipment used.  New equipment including CNC routers and membrane press were added to the production line.  The final program document includes a detailed listing of each space by department, optimum space dimensions and area with notes on equipment.  Based on the program,  a minimum building and site area was proposed for the owner's use in locating potential sites and or existing facilities to meet their needs.
