In late 2000, the building committee members of Metropolitan Baptist Church retained McCool and Associates to study their options for an increased sanctuary seating capacity and the addition of a fellowship hall. A study was developed illustrating two options, the first would remodel their current facilities and the second proposed a new facility on a different site. In April of 2002, the committee had located a new 12 acre site at West Apache and the L.L. Tisdale Parkway. In order to present their vision for a new facility to the neighboring community, MAPC was requested to provide a conceptual site plan and exterior rendering. MAPC was able to complete and deliver the the concept in only 7 days. The committee is currently in the process of purchasing the property, completing the required zoning modifications and raising construction funds.
