Residence - Remodel and Expansion

The Client wanted to expand their family living space by replacing an existing breakfast nook with a family room and enlarging the kitchen. Along with these needs, they wanted to add a workshop off the garage and enlarge the garage to accommodate a Suburban ; all of this on a site where the house was already against it’s required side yard setback. As the design progressed, we were not only able to achieve their needs, but also add a second floor guest suite and enlarge the children's bedrooms.
The new addition blended successfully with the existing traditional two story brick and frame home. The expanded laundry and kitchen provided much needed space in an older home that typically includes a small kitchen and little storage. We were able to add an island in the kitchen and the cabinets were custom designed by the client and granite tops. The outdoor fireplace is the center of the outdoor entertainment area.
